Ingredients:
Chillies: 8 small chopped (adjust to your taste)
Seasoning:
Oil: 2 tbsp
Curry Leaves: 3
Cumin: 1/2 tsp
Mustard seeds: 1/2 tsp
Methi Powder: 1/4 tsp (opt)
Coriander Powder: 1/2 tsp
Garlic Paste: 1 tsp
Turmeric: 1/2 tsp
Method:
Pressure cook moong dal, chillies, onion, curry leaves, garlic paste and cumin with 3/4 cup of water for 3 whistles and reduce the heat to low and pressure cook for another 5 minutes.
Remove from stove, wait until the pressure cooker cools down.
Add 2-3 cups of water and salt to cooked dal and bring to a boil and continue cooking for 3-5 minutes.
Add lime juice to dal.
In a separate pan, take some oil and add all the seasoning ingredients.
Add this seasoning to dal and cook for 5 minutes and remove from heat.
